Practical- Letter printing.

Following the suggestion from the practical discussion I have gone back down the road to produce my font originally with traditional printing methods to then later scan in and manipulate further for the specimen.
I chose Grotesque as my base font as it was a sans serif form which from my written research is a common and preferred font style when use with digital applications so this reflected my concept of digital mimicking traditional.
This was a fun process to do but was quite time consuming as I did several prints of the same letter so that I had a choice to then later pick from. I also tried it with a variety in the amount of ink I loaded each up with to see which captured the best personality and character. I found that the second and third prints were better as the ink was less so more impressions and marks appeared. The first prints the ink was too much and bleed on the paper losing the qualities I am ultimately after to emphasis in the font.
