Practical- Full alphabet.

From the printed letters which I have taken I began to select and manipulate digitally the ones which I wanted to use for the finished alphabet. I have selected a range which I feel printed best leaving impressions and different pressure of ink throughout to create the replication of the font being hand printed each time with none of them looking exactly the same, as they would have if printed.

After this I began to manipulate them into the quotes which I have received in my primary responses. For this I had to transform and scale them so that they were 36pt. I achieved this by typing an existing font in 36pt placing guides at the baseline and x height and then scaling my letters to fit within. This was a lengthy process but was needed to display the font accurately in the specimen booklet. I have also selected quotes which are related to the concept of my font and refer to the production or application of letterpress and digital in some way.
